Our annual Ham & Bubbles Tournament & Social Evening was held on Friday December 18th, sponsored by Harcourst Cooper & Co. With 50 entries for the Tournament it was great to see some of our newer bowlers participating & enjoying the fabulous weather.

Ham winners were Judi Farkash (a new member) with 3 wins & 33 points, John Lindsay with 3 wins & 32 points, followed by Judy Cowie 3 & 30, David Payne 3 & 28, Geoff Ladd 3 & 26.

There were 2 Lucky Draws for people who had not won a ham in either a tournament or raffle this season & the lucky recipients were Margaret O’Carroll & David Lloydd.

A  big thank you to Jo Mimmack & James Dixon from Harcourts Cooper & Co who supplied the Bubbles to ensure the social evening got off to a good start. Unfortunately Jo was unable to attend but Robyn Coles & Martin Cooper both came along. As always it was good to see them in our Club Rooms.

A massive thank  you to Gaye, Gerd, Colleen, Jo, Flora & Rosemary who set up & added to the already existing decorations in the Club rooms & who produced the delicious nibbles that we all enjoyed. We had 80 people attend the social evening so catering for that number was a mammoth task. Thank you all so much.

Can’t forget to also thank Keith & Pete for their great easy listening music that just sets events like this apart. There were even a few keen dancers on the floor,

All in all a very enjoyable afternoon & evening. A big thank you to those who made it all possible – from Jo & James supplying the bubbles to those who set up the greens, decorated  & catered, Bar staff, running  raffles, donations of items for our Hamper Raffles,  cleaning up afterwards & of course supporting the event.
