Most members are getting the hang of online entries & generally the system is working well.
Once you have entered an event you should receive an email confirming your entry. KEEP this email. It is very useful for checking back to see whether or not you have entered & it also gives you details of the tournament. If you don’t receive an email confirmation please either contact Sandra either by text on 021 647 389 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Usually it will be because of an incorrect email address & can be easily sorted.
On tournament day if there is the slightest hint of bad weather, or if it has rained overnight it pays to check your emails or the website before venturing out, as an email will be sent advising of a cancellation as well as a post on the Cancellation notice board on the website. In the instance of a team entry only the person who placed the entry will receive an email & it is up to that person to advise other members of his or her team. Last week was a bad week where we had 3 tournaments cancelled & unfortunately some people still turned up to play which was very frustrating for them. Unfortunately earlier bad weather had made the greens unplayable & when we have more than 18 teams we cannot transfer to the carpet.
