The NHB Mixed 2x4x2 was held over the weekend.

The conditions were horrendous with strong gale force winds over both days and the occasional shower.

Mairangi Bay had five teams entered and one composite team.

There were 16 sections with the winner of each section going on to post section.

 

Julie Chhour and David Payne playing at Helensville had only the one win out of three games.

Barry Baillie and Jodie Cottier playing at Manly had two wins but failed to qualify.

We had three teams at Takapuna;

Elaine McClintock and Colin Rogan had one win and one draw.

Allan Langley and Sheryl Wellington had two losses and did not play their final game.

Phillip Chisholm and Collen Rice had three wins and qualified top in the section.

David Eades from Browns Bay and Theresa Rogers had two wins but qualified by one point on differential.

 

In post section Phil and Colleen beat Chad and Milly Nathan from Birkenhead 16-11, a very good win.

David and Theresa had a big win over a Mahurangi East team 23-5.

 

Quarter- final;

Phil and Colleen were defeated by Grant Keats and Adele Ineson from Takapuna, 10-12.

David and Theresa defeated Carlson Barnett and Jenni Hart from Birkenhead, 14-8.

 

Semi- final;

David and Theresa defeated Grant Keats and Adele Ineson 12-10.

In the other semi, Shaun Goldsbury and Skye Renes from Manly defeated Brent Malcolm and Robyne Walker from Takapuna 10-9.

 

FINAL;

David and Theresa defeated Shaun and Skye 13-10.
