The first summer tournament, being a single entry event, was held on 18 September.  Unfortunately the weather didn’t play its part which necessitated a shortened event being played before the rain forced an abandonment of the day.  However we did manage to complete enough play to be able to declare a result.

Results were:

1^st        Tony James, Glenda Rountree, Bruce Aley                 2 wins 10 ends 20 points

2^nd       Garry Banks, Barry Baillie, Dave Hope                        2 wins 10 ends            16 points

3^rd =     Peter Orgias, Flora Macdonald, Bill Lowe

Ian Hardy, David Lloydd, Helen Aley

Both third place getters had 1 ½ wins, 8 ends, 13 points for and 9 against so shared the third place and the daily prizes

One of the prize winners omitted to include their team names on their card however given the circumstances of the day it was agreed they would receive their prize but it was pointed out that should any team fail to include team names on their card during the remainder of the season this will not occur and any prize will be forfeited.
