The second round of Pennants in the east zone was played last Friday at Milford.
Four clubs that are in the east zone are, Takapuna, Milford, Browns Bay and Mairangi Bay.
It was a lovely day, fine and no wind.
The main challenge for a number of players was they were playing on grass.
One change for one of the teams this week with Colleen Rice replacing Barry Baillie.
Round 3 Mairangi Bay had a strong result, winning all three games and taking the total ten points.
In round 4 they played Browns Bay whom they beat last week 8-2.
Roles were reversed this week with Browns Bay taking the win 8-2.
Leon Wech, Jan Gledhill and Gordon Jenkins recorded the only win for Mairangi in the match and they have yet to lose a game out of four played.
The final round of qualifying will be played this Friday at Takapuna.
Mairangi currently lead Browns Bay 30-26 with two matches to play.
Mairangi play Milford in round 5 and Takapuna in round 6.
Win all their games and they will be in the finals. bert
Lose a game or two and Browns Bay have a chance of taking that finals berth.
Thank you to the supporter’s that turned up at Milford and the team would like some support on Friday as well.
