Now we are finally back on the grass, to enable all to enjoy each days bowling it is timely to remind players of a few responsibilities and also so that the work doesn’t fall on the same people all the time.

Each day it is necessary to put out the boards and jacks before play and then bring them in at the close of play, hoist the flags in the morning and lower them at the end of the day, and chalk the greens each morning. Please do not wait to be asked to assist in these tasks – it is not an excuse to say you don’t know how to do it. Watch and learn then pitch in.

Another reminder to preserve the condition of our greens is that if you are not on the head or about to bowl, please stand on the banks. Also move the mats each end to avoid bowling from the same place.

Be aware of potential health and safety issues – place bowling bags and other gear under seats and out of the way.
