A good number of members showed up for the Social Evening on Friday 20 February which included a friendly game of bowls with our neighbours from across the back fence.

The Tennis Club provided nine players and our club built it up to six teams of fours for play. Our thanks to John Valentine’s brother who was the final player when a Tennis player cried off at the last minute.

All players, particularly the tennis members, enjoyed a fun game of speed bowls following the Business House format. The winners were a team of Tony James, Warwick, from the Tennis Club, Joe Thompson and Lorna Donald. They won a bottle of wine each.

Prizes of $20 each went to Rosemary Nicol and Martin from the Tennis Club for being closest to the $20 note on the ground and meat packs were won in the raffle by Patrick from the Tennis Club and Sandra Coombe.

All-in-all a successful and fun evening.

Thanks to Colleen for the dinner and bar.
