Put Tuesday afternoons in your diary, club days are undergoing a change this winter with a new Winter Carnival of Bowls. Each Tuesday on a Monthly basis there will be four formats played. All events are $5 and open to all members and visitors. Play is 12.30pm to 3.30pm. Single Entry. Entries online. Starts on Tuesday 5 May.

Events each month are:

Week 1 – Tuesday Surprise – Club Day bowls but with a twist. Each week a different surprise, it could be that short bowls are removed, bonus points, power plays, Irish bowls? who knows what our convenors will dream up.

Week 2 – Jackpot Pairs, run by our Club Captain Barry McCrystal. Fun prizes and results based on points differential.

Week 3 – Constantly, Consistently Consistency. This week will be consistency Pairs or Triples depending on entry numbers. Points are scored on the the four closest bowls scoring 4 points for the closest, 3 for the next closest then 2 then 1.

Week 4 – Traditional Tuesday. Old fashioned relaxed club day bowls. Drawn teams play just two games of about an hour with a break for afternoon tea and biscuits between games. There will be bonus points for anyone wearing traditional whites and even more bonus points for anyone bringing afternoon tea.
