Eighteen teams of triples contested the tournament on Thursday 18 June. The weather was beautifully clear and sunny and, as a consequence, play commenced at 9.00am with a plan to complete the programme before it became too cold. By the time the tournament finished at 3.20pm, it was already very cold on rinks 8 and 9.
There were two four-winners: Elaine McClintock, Connie Matheson and Grant Keats with 4 wins, and 32 ends.
Second were John Hindmarsh, Evan Thomas and Ian Hardy with 4 wins and 31 ends.
Third: Arthur Beale/Murray Radojkovich, Kevin Cameron and Brian Rogers with 3.5 wins and 27 ends, one more than the fourth-placegetters.
In 10th place were Alwine Barlow, from Milford, Lorna Donald and Bruce Aley with 1.5 wins, 25 ends and 43 points.
The Daily Prize for coming 16th went to Barry Baillie, Graeme McGregor and Muy Chhour. The Lucky Dip went to Leon Wech, Stuart Jamieson and Bevyn Darlington.
Thanks to Leon for the green setup and raffles, David LLoydd and Louise Ball for the kitchen cleanup and Alan Daniels, Rhonda Dredge and Colleen Rice for the bar.
