This Friday see’s the continuation of the Winter Cup. Probably should be renamed the Summer Cup.

The men are at Warkworth with two rounds to be played to complete qualifying.

The Phil Chisholm team sit in in second place with the top two teams in each section to qualify for a top eight finals.

Leon Wech’s team sit in sixth place and will struggle to qualify.

The women are at Mairangi Bay with two rounds to be played on Friday and another two rounds next Friday.

There are two sections with the winner of each section to play off in a final.

Elaine McClintock’s team played Glenda Rountree’s team in the first round in the previous week.

It was a very close encounter, which ended up in a draw.

Elaine won the next two games to sit second in the section.

Glenda’s team sit in sixth place after having two close losses..

On Sunday the 1-8 Sorrill Cup is being played at Browns Bay.

We have three teams entered.

Michael Thomas, Julie Chhour, Jodie Cottier and Graeme McGregor.

Flora Macdonald, Bill Lowe, Graeme Storey and Rosemary Nicol.

Glenda Rountree, Steve Bartley, Queenie de la Croix and Christine Tordeich.
