Well, has summer finally arrived!  After the potential disruption of the entries due to the Masters events this week, a full field of 18 teams competed in the first Knightsbridge sponsored pairs event of the summer season.  The day was very hot but there was no wind to speak of for a change.

There was no four winners, one three and a half winner and several three winners but unfortunately some of them missed out on the main prizes.

The results of the day were:

1st  Peter Orgias & Allan Langley      3 1/2 wins 34 ends and 67 points

2nd  Alan Daniels & David Lloydd    3 wins 36 ends and 72 points

3 rd  John Gledhill & Glyn Taylor    3 wins 33 ends and 54 points

8th  Barry McCrystal & Rosemary Nicol 2 wins 31 ends and 38 points

15th Tina & Clive Lindsay   1 win 18 ends 35 points

Of note, and a reminder that Lucky Draw winners have to be present to collect their prize, the final winner today was the third card drawn.  One person of each of the first two teams drawn had left before the prize giving took place.
