Thursday Pairs 9 October

Due to the weather once again preventing the use of the grass greens and with entries for the Dils Funeral Services Pairs exceeding the maximum number that can be accommodated on the carpet, rather than cancel the day entirely we split the field into a morning session and afternoon session each of 3 games.

The morning session of 18 teams filled quickly but the afternoon session didn’t so we opened entries to any of the morning teams wanting to play in the afternoon as well. A few did and we ended up with 12 teams competing in that event.

The innovation of splitting the sessions was that of Steve McGregor so thank you Steve as, apart from creating a little more work for the convenor, the day worked well and all enjoyed the day.
