A full field of 18 teams enjoyed a day of two bowl triples. Compared to the spring weather we have had recently, the day was reasonably warm with little wind. Unfortunately, because we were still playing on the carpet, four teams were balloted out.
First, the only four winner, was Ian Coombe, John Valentine and Bruce Aley.
There were six three winners vying for the remaining two major placings.
Second, with three wins, 32 ends, was Leon Wech, Baz McCrystal and Rosie Nicol.
Third, with three wins, 29 ends, was Alan Daniels, Kevin Robertson and Stuart Jamieson.
In 10th place, with two wins, 22 ends and 38 points for, was Ian Glogoski, Andrea Grant and Jeanette, who just pipped the other team from Browns Bay by three points for.
The daily prize was for the team that came 16th. Sometimes this goes to a team with no wins, sometimes to a team with one win. Today there were three teams each with the same number of wins (or losses), the best of them being Tony James, Geraldine Wight and Louise Ball, with 20 ends.
Lucky dip went to Sherril Watson, Muy Chhour and Helen Aley.
Thanks to Dils Funeral Services for their sponsorship, and to everyone who helped with the many tasks required to make the day successful and enjoyable.
