Eighteen teams of triples contested the tournament sponsored by Fairview and Settlers Lifestyle Villages on a day that started off fine and cold but became very hot in the afternoon.

There were three 4 winners. First were Lindsay Gilmore, Colin Rogan and Bruce McClintock with 4 wins, and 31 ends. Second were Elaine McClintock, Judi Farkash and Peter Nathan with 4 wins and 30 ends. Third: Phil Chisholm, Mike Jelley and Theresa Rogers with 4 wins and 29 ends. Each of the first three placegetters were one end ahead of the next team while four teams registered no wins. In 10^th place were Alan Daniels, Kevin Robertson and Graeme Storey with 2 wins, 22 ends and 38 points. The Daily Prize went to Larry Cain, Sheryl Wellington and Irene Donaldson for the biggest winning margin of 19 points from twelve ends won, which just pipped Jan Gledhill, Colleen Rice and David Payne whose winning margin was also 19 points but allowed their opponents to score 5. They won their game 24-5.

The Lucky Dip went to Glenda Rountree, Joy Watkinson and Queenie de la Croix despite having no wins.
