After the highs of last week and the State of Origin the day before, we got a better than expected turnout of 28 bowlers for the haggle.

The day was hot and sunny with a stiff breeze easing the heat but not helping the bowls. Mayfair Green was playing better with bowls running on which hasn’t happened for a while. The top two spots were clear cut but it was a close battle for the minor places.
