The first round of this season’s Silverfin 5’s kicks off on Tuesday, October 20. This year we have a reduced field of 14 teams entered. This should make it easier to find fill ins throughout the season.

We are however, missing our tea lady. For the last few years, the lovely Barbara Friedlos has come down each month and made and poured cups of tea for us. Unfortunately, ill health has forced Barbara to retire. So, we are looking for someone who might be prepared to come down on the third Tuesday of each month and make and pour cups of tea for the morning tea break, and at lunch time. It takes from around 10:15 until maybe 1 o’clock. It is only five times during the season  and the players really appreciate having a cup of tea ready when they come in. If you think you could be available to help out on even one of the dates, October 20, November 17, December 15, February 17, March 17 please  contact Sandra on 021 647-389 or sandra@coombe.net.nz. She would be very pleased to hear from you.
