Congratulations to our very own bowling legend, John Miles, who turned 97 last week.

His birthday was celebrated with cake at morning tea today, Thursday 25 August 2022 and John was presented with a gift from the club.  Kevin Cameron, President of Mairangi Bay Bowling Club, in making the presentation to John, mentioned that John had held many positions in the club over the years, including, Coach, Green Superintendent and President.  The club is indebted to John for his contribution, his willingness to help and encourage new members and his quick, dry and insightful whit.  We are in awe of his skill on the greens and wish him many more successes in bowls and in the raffles.  What a legend!!

As always, John was quick to respond to the presentation by asking all present to start putting funds away for his birthday next year.
