Tuesday 12th saw the final day of Ladies’ Triples for the season. We had a field of 10 teams which was a good turn out but made it difficult to find a last minute replacement. Fortunately Kathy Moreton & Steve McGregor came to the rescue, along with Roger Potter. Of course, given the forecast for Tuesday no one expected us to be playing!!
However we got all 3 games played without anyone having to don or even think about donning wet weather gear.
Having the green freshly marked out with the new line marker was much appreciated by all.
Winners on the day and the only 3 winner was the team of Kathy Moreton (morning)/ Steve McGregor (afternoon) with Marie Cooper & Muy Chhour 3 wins, 19 ends & 28 points
Elwyn Beatson, Joy Watkinson & Colleen Rice were second with 2 ½ wins, 14 ends & 27 points
Phyl Humphries, Marian McDonald & Rosemary Nicol came third with 2 wins,14 ends & 34 points.
We will schedule in Ladies Triples again next season as long as we can continue to field a minimum of 8 teams.
