With the Summer Season now under way, a full field of 18 teams contested the tournament
under sunny conditions. The grass greens are not yet available, so the tournament remained
on the carpet green. It was cold at the open end but very warm at the other with the sun
beating in and the fence shielding players from the cold wind.

There were two four-winners. First were Elaine McClintock, Grant Keats and Connie Matheson with 4 wins, 31 ends and 66 points.

Second were Lindsay Gilmore, Colin Roganand Bruce McClintock with 4 wins, 25 ends and 51 points.

Third: Arthur Beale, Brian Rogers and Flora McDonald with 3 1/2 wins and 27 ends.

In 10 th place were John Gledhill, Hanaan Shawhan and Glyn Taylor, making a welcome return to the game, with 2 wins and 19 ends .

The Daily Prize for coming 16 th went to Roger Potter, Tony Stanaway and Graham Ward.

The Lucky Dip went to Alan Telford, another making a welcome return, Steve Bartley and Graeme McGrgor.
