On Club Day the 30th of May we had 20 entries, making it 10 teams of pairs. Instead of 2-4-2 we played 3 bowls pairs with 4, 3, 2, 1 points scoring for the 4 best bowls. A bit different but I think also a bit of fun. And we are getting better at it.
We had 3 tree winners, with Gerd Hutcheson on 152 points and Sherril Watson on 129. Then we had 2 two and half winners With Ralph Cullen on 134 points and Les Boulton on 125 points. Lucky dip went to Helen Aley.
Unfortunately we had no bartender, so we went home a bit earlier, although pleased with a nice afternoon.
On Club Day the 13th of June we had 24 entries, perfect for 8 teams of 3 bowls triples! Normal scoring this time!
2 three winners with Jim Price on 24 points and Ralph Cullen on 21 points. The 3 two and half winners were Barry McChrystal on 22, Dudley Ellington on 19 and Gerd Hutcheson on 17 points.
This time we had Russell Parkinson, who kindly opened the bar for us, giving us another hour or so to enjoy each others company.
