Sunday 12th May, the national qualifying for the National Super 1-8 singles was held at Manly.

The event is a hybrid of Bowls3five, it is 3 bowl singles, two sets of six ends and a tiebreaker if needed.

The day consists of playing four rounds and marking two.

A top eight is then found and a knockout finals series is held.

A full field of 24 competed in the super singles at Manly bowling club on Sunday with Michael Thomas from Mairangi Bay defeating Geert Donkers (Helensville) in the final.

Mike will now represent North Harbour in the National Super singles at Naenae on July 6/7th.

Well done Mike, an excellent result in a very strong field.
