Once again the weather gods were kind to us and we enjoyed the first of the winter triples on Thursday 22 May in glorious sunshine and wind free.
The standard of bowling remains high for these events and out of a full field of 18 entries we had one 4 winner, three 3 ½ winners and three 3 winners so with only 3 major prizes some of these teams were disappointed at not being rewarded for their efforts.
The results were:
1st Chris Taylor, Murray Mathieson, Jan Calcott 4 wins, 21 ends
2nd Flora Macdonald, Graeme Storey, Jane Mackay 3 ½ wins, 24 ends
3rd Tony Trent, Lorna Donald, Bruce Aley 3 ½ wins, 18 ends
The other unlucky 3 ½ winner was Jan Gledhill, Chris Charles and David Payne
Daily prize 5 contenders but with 2 wins in the afternoon and 15 ends was Elaine McClintock, Bruce McClintock and Colin Rogan
