A full field of 18 teams endured a day of three bowl triples, four games of one hour 15 minutes but no limit on the number of ends. Two quite long stops for rain, wind quite strong and gusty at times, beanies and hoodies at times too, made for a real mixed bag of weather.
Good to see Kevin Cameron and George Durbridge back on the green, and thanks to Kevin for getting a team together to avoid having a bye. Also nice to have sparkling white mats, although Phil denies any responsibility for this.
Two four winners and three three winners but only three prizes, so two unlucky three winners, who were very close with 18 and 19 ends.
First, with four wins and an impressive 26 ends (out of about 32 played) was Jan Gledhill, Colin Rogan and David Payne.
Second, with four wins and 20 ends was Garry Banks, Lindsay Gilmore and Wayne Glogoski.
Third, the best of the three winners, with 20 ends was Leon Wech, Russell Parkinson and Annie McGrath.
There were four contenders for the daily prize, which went to Alan Daniels, Kevin Robertson and Joy Watkinson, with two wins and 11 ends in the afternoon.
Lucky dip went to Larry Cain, Arthur Beale and Steve Bartley.
As usual thanks to all those who helped in the many ways that contribute to the day being successful and enjoyable.
