A full field of 18 teams enjoyed a beautiful day of two bowl triples. Yes, surprise, surprise, two bowls from me! Jackets off midway through the first game and back on again midway through the last game, and no blaming the wind for wayward bowls.

There were two four winners. First placed was the team of Alan Daniels, Kevin Robertson and Mike Jelley with 29 ends. Second was the team of Evan Thomas, Ian Hardy and Denis Hale with 25 ends. Third was the best of the several three winners, the team of Brian Nolan, Baz McCrystal and Rosie Nicol, with 30 ends.
In 10th place, with two wins and 22 ends was David Lloydd, Bill Lowe and Graeme McGregor.Daily prize this week was for the team in 16th place, which went to Roger Potter, Tony Stanaway and Graham Ward, with one win and 20 ends.
Lucky dip went to Christine and Joe Tordeich and Queenie de la Croix, which proves, that at Mairangi Bay, you can still be in the money, even though you have no wins.

In the prize giving I forgot to thank Tony Trent and helpers for doing the bar, Baz and Rosie for doing the raffle, and Alan Daniels’ team for doing the kitchen. Apologies for this omission and thanks for doing these jobs.
