Seventeen teams of triples contested the tournament on Thursday 6 August. It was the Thursday of the coldest week of the winter, although it was beautifully clear and sunny and, as a consequence, we dispensed with the clock and played 12 ends in the first three games and reduced the fourth game to 10 ends with the aim of completing the programme before it became too cold. Play began at 9.00am and finished just after 3.00pm.

There was one four-winner: Leon Wech, Barry McCrystal and Rosemary Nicol with 4 wins, 29 ends (out of 46) and 48 points. Second were Lindsay Gilmore, Colin Rogan and Bruce McClintock with 3 ½ wins, 33 ends and 66 points. Third: Glenda Rountree, Adele Ineson and Judi Farkash with 3 wins and 27 ends. In 10th place were Roger Potter, Tony Stanaway and Graham Ward with 2 wins and 22 ends.

The Daily Prize for coming 15th went to Lorna Donald and Bruce & Helen Aley.

The Lucky Dip went to Larry Cain, Jan Gledhill and David Payne.

Thanks to Leon for the green setup, the early cup of tea and raffles, Elaine, Grant Keats and Connie Mathieson for the kitchen cleanup and David Lloydd for the bar.
