Another perfect afternoon for bowls with the sun shining and the air so clean and fresh: it’s a great time of the year to get out and enjoy an afternoon of bowls. Paraphrasing Martin Cooper from Harcourt’s Cooper & Co, “Mairangi Bay – what a great place to bowl!!”

The Saturday pm Haggle is a single entry, draw for partners, 3 games of 2-4-2 in mufti dress.  There was a particularly strong field of talented and experienced bowlers and many of the combinations looked like likely winners.  The team that came through with three wins was the team of Michael Thomas and Peter Orgias. – 3Wins, 14 Ends and 22 Points.
