Greetings All,
With the Government dropping the COVID-19 alert level to level 2 as of midnight Sunday August 30th it means that the club can, on a limited basis, resume some activities.

Practice:
As of Monday August 31st members may practice on the carpet green but only on rinks 1,3,5,7,9. You can practice in groups made up of up to 10, but the group must remain 2 metres from any other group. You must use hand sanitizer before and after playing or touching any club property or facilities. In practical  terms it would be best if you restricted your practice to 1 or 2 per group.
Please use common sense and refrain from entering the club rooms, unless absolutely necessary, and limit the time of practice sessions to allow others a chance to use the facilities.

Tournaments:
David & Leon are proposing to recommence Thursday’s tournaments on September 3rd. It will, I understand, be pairs to accommodate the 10 per “bubble” rule and you will play the other 3 teams in the “bubble”.
I will leave it over to them to advise full details and how you enter. I assume that the haggle will also start on Saturday September 5th. I do not have details on any other events so if you have a query  please contact the organisers.

Opening Day & Prize Giving and Roll Up:
At this stage we are still planning to proceed with the Prize Giving and Opening Day as scheduled on Saturday 12 September 2020.  However, this is probably dependent upon a change in the current level 2 restrictions which allow gatherings of only 10 people.

We will keep you informed of any necessary changes.

At this stage, the Awards Presentation commences at 1.00, followed by Official Opening of Greens, then a Roll Up at 2.00 with Afternoon Tea at 3.00.
Dress code is white or club uniform.
A sheet on which to indicate members participation in these 3 activities is on display in the cabinet outside the main sliding door.
Remember to bring a plate for afternoon tea.

Trying times, keep safe

On behalf of your board,
Stuart Jamieson
